C’River Assembly Suspends Legislative Activities Indefinitely
The Cross River State House of Assembly has suspended all legislative activities indefinitely as part of preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The suspension is contained in a release signed yesterday in Calabar by Mr Hope Obeten, Press Secretary to the Speaker of the House, Mr Eteng Jonah-Williams.
“We therefore appeal to our constituents to observe all precautions of regular hand washing, use of hand sanitiser, observing social distancing and avoiding large gatherings.
“We equally appreciate and support the State Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade, for his proactive measures to ensure the state remains safe and COVID-19 free.”
