King Amachree Memorial Hall Remodelling: Chief Lauds Jack-Rich
It was a thing of great joy when the Amanyanabo of Kalabari, His Royal Majesty, King T.J.T. Princewill, Amachree x1, broke the news to the Kalabari Chiefs in Council that an illustrious son of Kalabari, Egr. Tein Jack-Rich Jnr has offered to remodel the King Amachree Memorial Hall in Buguma, headquarters of the Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The remodelling which will feature complete digitalisation of more than 300 capacity auditorium for the Chiefs in Council, well equipped offices and conveniences in a two storey building, is scheduled to commence this month of January, 2020.
This, Alabo Afifama-a Obaye Abbiyesuku described as a welcome development that deserved the overwhelming backing of all the Chiefs and people of the Kalabari kingdom. “I say so because this is one project the entire Kalabari sekobiri (Kalabari Council of Chiefs) had been desirous of executing.
“The capacity of the current King Amachree Memorial Hall has been inadequate to accommodate the entire Kalabari Chiefs and the people who gather to watch proceedings of the traditional council.”
Alabo Abbiyesuku noted that the project is one of the numerous laudable projects Engr.Tein Jack-Rich is undertaking in Kalabari Kingdom adding that the proposed construction of road from Kula community to Degema and the sitting of the Belemaoil headquarters in the ancient community of Kula in the Kalabari kingdom are commendable.
