NWPL Super 4: Rivers Angels Ready For Showdown
As the 2018/2019 Nigeria
Women Premier League (NWPL) Super 4 kick off date draws close, the Rivers Jewels, Rivers Angels Fc of Port Harcourt, says it has made all necessary preparation in readiness for the task ahead to compete honourably at the play off.
This was disclosed by Head coach of the team, Edwin Okon, yesterday in an exclusive interview with Tidesports in port Harcourt.
According to him, his players are well prepared, determined and now poised to win the season ending Super 4 league play off.
“We are set for the competition, come 29th of this month, we are hoping to go all out to compete favourably and emerge victorious at the end of the play off,” Edwin Okon said.
The NWPL has been scheduled by the Nigeria Women Football League to begin in Lagos on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium, Lagos.
According to the Chief Operating Officer of the NWFL, Alhaji Ayo Abdulrahman, the four participating clubs: Adamawa Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Confluence Queens and Rivers Angels, are expected to arrive in Lagos on Tuesday, October 29.
The pre-match meetings / press conference for the four teams come up on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, while the official warm up by the clubs has been fixed for Thursday, October 31st.
The matches will begin on Friday, November 1, 2019, with two games to be played.
Saturday, November 2, is rest day for all clubs, while the third place game and the final match have been fixed for Sunday November 3, 2019.
