100 Days In Office: We’re Still In Business Of Project Delivery -Wike …Inaugurates 25-Member C’ttee

The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has said that his administration would use the first 100 days of his second term to prove that the business of projects’ delivery was still in progress.
Inaugurating the committee for the celebration of his first 100 days in his second term at the Government House, Port Harcourt, last Wednesday, Wike said that he would use the programme to account for the successes recorded since Rivers people renewed his mandate.
The governor said: “The first 100 days have become a ritual of accountability. Therefore, it is imperative for us to set up a committee to bring to the notice of Rivers people what we have done since they re-elected us.
“The permanent secretaries have been included because of key projects in their respective ministries and agencies”.
Wike said that at the end of the 100 days celebration, Rivers people and Nigerians would realise that the administration was still on course.
He urged the committee to work closely with all the ministries and agencies to list all the projects that have been completed since May 29, 2019.
The governor also called on the committee to identify prominent Nigerians who would commission completed projects during the period, and charged the committee to organise an event that would showcase key projects and promote the successes of the administration.
He mentioned some of the completed projects due for commissioning as Mile One Market, Fruit Garden Market, Civil Servants’ Quarters, Real Madrid Academy, Model School, Ubima, Elelenwo-Akpajo Road, Bonny Street, amongst others.
Responding, Chairman of the committee and Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo, assured the governor that the members would deliver a memorable event.
He said that the state has very quality projects that have been completed in the course of the governor’s second term.
