I’m happy to see that our U17 guys are undergoing a process of graduation to the senior national teams after been successful at the Youth world cup level. “ Amunike said.
“Now, you can find some playing with Imama’s team at the U23 and some with the senior national team the Super Eagles so, I’m happy the way it’s going because, during my days handling the Golden Eaglets at the World Cup in Chile, questions I always received was, how many of this players had graduated from this level to the Super Eagles?
With players like Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze and others making the transition into the National team is encouraging.
So, I’m happy to have seen some of them playing for the U23 and the Super Eagles is a good thing for the players and the process also because that’s our dream and it’s coming to pass so, that’s the essence of the youth team”. Amunike concluded.
