Guber Polls: Rivers People Know Their Choice -Wike
The Rivers State Governor, and guber flag-bearer for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in tomorrow’s governorship and state assembly elections, Chief Nyesom Wike says no intimidation would change the heart of the people in supporting the ruling party.
Wike spoke, last Wednesday, at Abonnema during a memorial service held at the Lutheran Church Nyemoni in memory of those who lost their lives during the February 23, 2019, Presidential and National Assembly polls.
He said, “Rivers people know where they are heading to”, stating that those who want to use their connections to destabilize the state would fail.
The governor, while enjoining the people to remain calm and peaceful, and never be provoked, called on the security agencies to be apolitical in their conduct.
He described the incident that occurred during the presidential polls as unfortunate, saying “I have known Abonnema for long, and what I saw on television, I have not seen that before”.
