NYG: Director Advises Athletes, Coaches On Commitment
Rivers State Director of Sports, Evangelist Ezekiel Ordu has advised Team Rivers athletes to be more committed and focus on their training.
He further call on the coaches to put effort and ensure that athletes selected for the National Youth Games (NYG) are at their best form.
Evangelist Ordu gave the advice, yesterday, while addressing the athletes in camp, in Port Harcourt, said that their victory is for the State, friends and family members.
” I want you all to take the NYG very serious, because if you win your state won, if you win your family won and if you win your friends won,” Ordu said.
He informed both the athletes and coaches that the state government has provided all logistics for Team Rivers to be in contention at NYG.
” You should know that you are going to represent millions of people in the state. So I urged you to make your state, families and friends proud,” he stated.
However, the director of sports noted that the athletes are in high spirit in the camp and expressed optimism that his athletes will make a good statement at the competition.
