Rivers United Sure To Make Statement In NPFL
Players of Rivers United FC are ready for the kick off of the second phase of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), which is expected to resume next month.
The players’ readiness was declared by the media officer of the team, Sammy Wiginya in an interview with Tidesports yesterday.
According to him, Rivers United players have not been idle since the suspension of the NPFL season.
“Players of Rivers United have engaged in several training sessions since the season was supposed to kick off”, he said.
The players have been working hard and the technical team has been at the top of their game and are ready for the commencement of the second phase of the league.
Though the second part of the league was set to start on July 18, and it was later postponed indefinitely by the League Management Company (LMC) due to the internal issues beyond the control of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), players of United, notwithstanding have been having trainings.
He explained that the official announcement for the commencement of the league will be communicated by the LMC in due time.
