2019 Polls: LG Boss Wants Electorate To Register For PVC
The Chairman, Emohua Local Government Area, High Chief Tom Aliezi has urged the people of the area to arm themselves with their Permanent Voters Cards for the 2019 general elections.
Aliezi, who described the PVC as the only legal weapon to change a failed government said, it was important for every adult to own a PVC ahead of the 2019 general elections.
In a statement by his Press Secretary, Loveday Ihua, the council boss maintained that every responsible Nigerian of voting age should own PVC to exercise his or her franchise.
Aliezi lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for extending the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise to enable more eligible adults to register for the forthcoming elections.
The chairman insisted that Nigeria needs political change that would usher in good governance to the electorate.
Describing the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government as a failure, the Emohua council boss said, the masses, including Emohua people, should make political change come 2019 by voting out the ruling APC government.
“The PVC is a legally acceptable weapon of leadership change and replacement of failed government globally; so, it is important every Nigerian has it at his or her disposal ahead of 2019 elections”, he said.
He charged the youth to shun violence and acts capable of breeding electoral crisis come 2019, but vote wisely and vote candidates and parties of their choice.
