Nigeria Cricket Team Set To Win Championship, ’Morrow
Team Nigeria is currently on the second position at the ongoing ICC/ Africa T20 Championship holding in Lagos State.
The Cricket championship which was slated to end tomorrow has Ghana leading with eight points, Nigeria six points, while Sierra Leone, Gambia have two points each on third and fourth position respectively.
According to Chief Coach Rivers State Cricket Association, Tonye Timinadi the final game will be between Nigeria and Ghana to decide who will be the champion.
“Team Nigeria is currently doing well in Cricket, but there is need to encourage the players in all ramifications. I am optimistic that my country will win the championship,” Timinadi said.
He further revealed Africa Cricket Association Cup tournament would commence next week Monday, also in Lagos State, saying that the Championship is billed to last for one week.
Coach Timinadi noted Cricket has become of the most popular sports in the world and urged parents to encourage their children to play Cricket
