ABS Keeper Confident Of Surviving Relegation
ABS goalkeeper Abdullahi Boje insists his side will not be relegated after an encouraging 2-0 win over Enugu Rangers at the Ilorin Township Stadium.
Goals from Abubakar Chindo and Waiu Alalade ensured Henry Makinwa’s men end their winless run in six matches and secure a huge boost in their survival battle last Sunday.
And the Saraki Boys captain believes their victory over the People’s Elephants will inspire them to get enough good results in their last games to escape relegation.
“It was not easy but we are very happy with the victory against Enugu Rangers,” Boje said
“It is a huge boost for us and our ambition to avoid relegation. Rangers gave us very tough game but we fought hard to get our goals and win in the end.
“It is a very important victory because we’ve not won a match in our recent matches. We are grateful to the fans who have been behind us and I’m confident we will make them proud at the end.
“We know we’re in a difficult situation but we are not going to give up at all. We still have the chance to fight against relegation and I strongly believe we will not be relegated.
