10,000 Police Screening Begins, August 24
The Nigeria Police Force has announced the commencement of screening and aptitude tests for applicants, who applied for recruitment into the force under the 10,000 positions, as directed by the Federal Government.
The screening exercise begins on August 24, 2016, at the various state command headquarters, nationwide.
The Tide learnt that the Police Service Commission (PSC), the body statutorily mandated to conduct the recruitment exercise, announced the commencement of the screening process, yesterday.
It was gathered that all applicants, who were shortlisted by the PSC for recruitment, have been directly invited to participate in the exercise on specific dates.
According to the PSC notification titled: “Invitation For An Aptitude Test/Screening As Part Of The Process For Recruitment Into The Nigeria Police Force”, the candidates were grouped into two categories: specialist and general.
The Tide investigation reveals that those invited for the phased screening/aptitude tests are those who applied under the specialist category.
It reads: “Sequel to your application for recruitment (as a specialist) into the Nigeria Police Force, I am directed to invite you for an aptitude test/screening exercise”.
The Aptitude Test is scheduled to hold on August 24, at the specific state command headquarters of the originating application, at 10:00am prompt.
It further indicated that the Physical/Document Screening is billed to hold at the same venues on August 31, 2016, at 8:00am prompt.
The invitation advised shortlisted candidates that, “you are to come to the venue with a printed copy of this letter without failure, as this admits you into the examination/screening halls”.
