Chikatara Finally Joins Wydad
After all the controver
sies, Abia Warriors striker Chisom Chikatara has finally joined up with Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca, officials have announced.
Chikatara has agreed a three-year contract with Abia Warriors to receive a transfer fee of $500,000.
Abia Warriors chairman Emeka Inyama confirmed to newsmen that Chikatara departed for Morocco yesterday.
Inyama had initially cancelled the transfer, saying his club had not received the cash Wydad promised for the 2016 CHAN revelation.
The Nigeria league club will thereafter issue an official statement blasting WAC of telling lies with indications Chikatara was now headed for Europe.
Wydad, on their part, insisted they have fulfilled all the obligations in the transfer agreement.
