US, NACC To Train 200 Nigerian Farmers
The Nigerian-Ameri
can Chamber of Commerce (NACC) has said that it would train 200 members of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) on branding.
AFAN’s Chairman, Lagos State Chapter, Chief Femi Oke, told newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday that the training would ensure proper packaging of exportable agro products.
He said that the training was a product of collaboration between the NACC and the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Oke said that international investors would be present at the training to view products locally produced by AFAN members at the exhibition, scheduled for June 29.
“The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the United States Department of Agriculture, is creating a platform to assist agro producers in branding.
“During the programme on June 29, members of AFAN are going to exhibit our products to attract more foreign investors.
“The exhibition is to make the department aware of what we produce, so that they can invest and help in branding,’’ Oke said.
