Continental Engagement Affected Our League Performance- Nassarawa FC
The Chairman of
Nassarawa United FC, Isaac Danladi, on Wednesday attributed the team’s poor performance in the league to their unsuccessful outing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Tidesports reports that the League Management Company (LMC) had to postpone some of the club’s matches in the ongoing season to enable them focus on the continental competition.
In spite of the arrangement, the North Central team could not advance to the group stages of the competition.
Umar added that Nassarawa would eventually hit their strides and make up for their poor performances in the league.
“Even though we started a little bit poorly, because of the continental engagement and its attendant distraction, we are picking up.
“We are picking up gradually; at least the league is still on even though we are closing up to the end of the first stanza.
“But still the jungle has not matured yet; so far so good.’’
