Six Ships To Berth At PH Port
At least, six ships are
expected to berth at the Onne Port Complex in Rivers State.
This was contained in the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Daily Shipping position made available to The Tide Wednesday.
Out of the six ships, only MT Umbalwa is laden with 10,000 Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), while MV Green Ocean is with frozen fish.
The NPA Shipping position from the area also indicated that MV Petra is to berth with bulk wheat, and MV Navios Astra is laden with bulk cement, while MV MSC Adeleis is also expected to berth with containers of others goods.
It also indicated that no ship is waiting at the Fairway Buoy and no vessel arrived at the Port within the last 24 hours.
The Tide gathered that the poor turn-out of vessels may not be unconnected with the current impasse between the federal Government, some concessionaires at the Port and INTELS Logistics Services, where Intels was alleged to have been monopolising oil and gas cargoes in the country.
