Rangers Coach Almost Quit For Wolves
Enugu Rangers coach
Imama Amapakabo has told his players he came close to quitting the club to join Warri Wolves this month.
The coach said he came under intense pressure after Rangers were forced to a 2-2 draw by hosts Abia Warriors.
“He said there is a cabal who wants him to fail so they could sack him,” revealed a top source.
Amapakabo took charge of Rangers during last season, before he was confirmed as the club’s head coach this season amid speculations that former coach Okey Emordi will return to the Enugu club.
The financially-troubled club are second on the table with 11 points from six matches, two points behind leaders MFM FC.
