Enyimba, Wolves Host Champions League
Warri Wolves and
Enyimba will host their CAF Champions League second round first leg matches against Al Merriekh of Sudan and Vital’O of Burundi, respectively, on Sunday.
Nigeria’s remaining club in the Confederation Cup, Nasarawa United, will also welcome CS Constantine of Algeria in a second round clash in Abuja, also on Sunday.
Nigerian champions Enyimba, winners over Vipers FC of Uganda, will take on Vital’O of Burundi at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Nigeriens Gomno Daouda, Yahaya Mahamadou, Abdoul Aziz Moctar Saley and Ibrahim Mamane will be referee, assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and reserve referee respectively. Kadre Saleh Kana from Chad will be match commissioner.
At the Warri City Stadium in Warri, Wolves will take on Al Merreikh in another CAF Champions League second round, first leg match, with Burkinabe referees in charge.
Juste Ephrem Zio will be in the centre, with Seydou Tiama, Kouka Christian Ouedraogo and Boureima Sanogo as assistant 1, assistant 2 and reserve referees respectively. Former Ghana FA boss M. D. Jawula will be match commissioner.
Nasarawa United, who overpowered AS Academie Generation Foot of Senegal in the first round, host Club Sportif Constantinois of Algeria at the National Stadium, Abuja, with Liberian referee Jerry Yekeh at the centre.
Fellow Liberians Joseph M. Hoff, Johnson Gbartea and Christopher Nylander will serve as assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and reserve referee respectively. Ethiopian Asfaw Luleseged Begashaw will be match commissioner.
