CMS, CAN To Hold Conference On Effective Management
The Church Management Support Ministry (CMS) in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) South-South has concluded plans for a one day conference slated to take place on October 12, 2015 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The press release signed by the President, Dr Kayode Nissi and Secretary, Rev. Dr Felix Ekiye said the conference would take place at the Rivers State Ministry of Justice Conference Hall, adding that the Theme of the Conference, “Changes and Management of Resources in Life and Ministry” is carefully selected to bring to knowledge of the public the gains of effective management in all sectors and endeavours of life.
It also stated that the CMS had since inception, four years ago, tremendously done well in the areas of improving standard and successes of the churches in Nigeria, (Niger Delta in particular) adding that individuals, churches and governments at all levels had been enriched with the effective management lectures and education by the organisation.
“CMS is made up of seasoned practitioners and professionals from various academic fields, as well as ministers of the gospel who are on hand to impart their knowledge in respect to effective use of their public resources altogether to assist in the growth of the churches and government”, he said.
According to the statement, distinguished personalities that will grace the occasion include the CAN General Secretary (National) Dr (Revd) Musa Asake, Bishop David Abioye of The Living Faith Church, Abuja, former Vice Chancellor, Covenant University, Prof (Mrs) Chimezuo O.N. Nwankpa, JP, Bayelsa State CAN Chairan Archbishop Jacob Akpiri, Local Government condinator, Revd. Peter Georgewill and Regional Pastor, RCCG, Pastor Belemina Obunge.
