Port Harcourt has signed 13 new players in a desperate bid to battle their way out of relegation.
The biggest addition to the Port Harcourt side is Oduokpe Oghogho of Bayelsa United.
Other players signed are Ebitimi Agogo from Bayelsa United and Amakiri George, who last played competitive football with Sharks three seasons ago.
Dolphins are 18th on the 20-team championship with 21 points from 22 matches.
Coach of the side Stanley Eguma said they have done their best to strengthen the team as the fight to move out from the relegation area intensifies.
“It’s not a one-man show. It’s a club. Every department must work. We did not have money to get players, but I have done my best to get these ones,” Eguma said.
“We will keep working hard and will not go on relegation.”
Five of the new players already had their debuts against Abia Warriors in Port Harcourt on Week 22 of the league.
Oghogho Oduokpe, Ebuka Nnebue and Godwin Obinze started the game against Abia Warriors, while Ebitimi Agogo and Abia Israel were second-half subs.
