TEPN Gets New Deputy MD
The management of To
tal E&P Nigeria Limited has announced the appointment of Mr Ahmadu-Kida Musa as Deputy Managing Director, Deep Water District based in Lagos.
He replaced Mr Charles Ngoka who has proceeded on retirement.
According to a press statement of 7th August 2015 signed by the Company’s Deputy General Manager, Media and Public Affairs, Charles Ogan, the appointment takes immediate effect.
Described as a dynamic and focused manager, Musa who has 30 years outstanding career in oil and gas operations and management is a 1984 Engineering graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He holds a post Grade Diploma in Petroleum Engineering from the prestigious Institute Francais du Petrole (IFP), Paris, France.
According to the statement which was made available to The Tide, Musa attended various management and Technical courses at the University of Port Harcourt, Haward Business School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, amongst others. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a member of various bodies including Society of Petroleum Engineers International and Institute of Petroleum, United Kingdom.
Musa started his professional career in 1985 with ELF Petroleum Nigeria Limited as a Trainee Engineer and Materials Co-ordinator-Engineering Department and was later appointed to various positions of responsibility in production operations and projects.
He was in 2014, appointed into the Board of Total E&P Limited as Executive Director, Port Harcourt District, a position he held until his present appointment.
He is an avid basketball player and is the Chairman, Rivers State Basketball Association, member and South-South representative, Nigerian Basketball Federation and Vice-President, Federation of International Basketball Associations (FIBA) Africa Zone 3.
