Sharks Won’t Be Relegated -Coach
Sharks coach Festus Allen has declared that his team will not be relegated despite a laboured campaign this season.
Sharks are now 16th on the league table after several weeks rooted to the bottom of the standings.
“We want to end up on a good note and relegation is certainly out of our books,” said Allen after Sharks beat title-chasing 2-1 at home at the weekend.
“We will take this form to our next game against Sunshine Stars.”
The Sharks coach further said his team would have won by a bigger margin but for poor finishing.
“The scores were not the true reflection of the game because we should have won by a bigger margin, but we lost several chances,” said Allen.
Warri Wolves coach Paul Aigbogun said his team lost to Sharks in the first half.
Kufre Ebong, who has been sidelined by injury, was introduced to the fray to pull a goal back for the visiting Wolves.
