Fed Cup: Rivers Angels Set To Overrun C.O.D Ladies
The national Stadium Abuja will be the centre of attraction for Women’s football today as 2014 league and women Federation Cup winners, Rivers Angel FC of Port Harcourt go up against C.O.D. Ladies FC in one of the round of 16 ties of 2015 Women Federation Cup competition.
The match, which is one of the top fixtures of the round is expected to be a thriller as current league unbeaten side, Angels, have vowed to devour their opponents and progress to the next round of the competition.
The game will certainly not be a friendly affair for both sides. Rivers Angels are ready to prove their worth as masters of the competition by going full throttle in the match.
On the other hand, their opponent would not let today’s game pass-by without a take-home package, they are set to slug it out with the champions of the competition to ensure that, at least, they share the points.
According to Rivers Angels Coach, Whyte Ogbondah the team has prepared adequately and are in high spirit to defend and retain the FA Cup title.
It would be recalled that the Port Harcourt side was awarded the FA Cup trophy after an exhibition game against confluence Queens of Kogi at the FIFA Goal project technical Centre in Abuja, this year.
The double champions were also winners over Kogi Confluence FC.
