Wike To Complete Moot Court, Law Building At RSUST
Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike says government will complete the law faculty building in the state-owned University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.
Addressing students of the faculty shortly after inspecting building during an unscheduled visit to the institution, yesterday, the governor said as a noble profession, the students require the best facility and training.
According to the governor, the visit was to gather first-hand information after the dean and senior officials of the faculty paid a courtesy visit to him on Tuesday.
“Now, I have seen. I will definitely do something”, he promised.
Besides that, he noted that as an alumnus of the faculty, he owes the institution the gratitude to sow back to where he was trained.
”We must start from where we come from, and this is where we come from”, the governor said, adding that “if there is one project I must do, it’s to complete the faculty of law.”
He also promised to complete the moot court and provide a bus for the students, but challenged them to study hard and live up to their billings as law students.
The building housing the faculty of law has over six classrooms, an auditorium to contain over 300 students, offices and a moot court by the side.
