Rivers Kickboxers Hold Clinic In PH
As part of
preparations for the forthcoming 19th National Sports Festival in Calabar, Cross River State World Kickboxing Association (W.K.A.) Nigeria chapter held a two-day course at the Alfred Diette-Spiff Sports Complex, Port Harcourt.
President of the Nigeria chapter of the association Sensei Victor Bassey said that the event was geared towards the upgrading and preparations of athletes and officials of the sports ahead of future engagements.
According to him, the programme was organised to enhance the performance of athletes and also educate them on a new rules and regulations of the sport.
He further said that it would be used to prepare athletes and officials for the national sports festival.
Sensei Bassey, noted that the programme has gone along way to fortify the national athletes for the forthcoming “All Africa Games” and other international competitions.
He stressed the need for kick boxers to be focused and remain disciplined in their chosen sport.
