Dolphins, Enyimba Players Equal Aneke’s Record
Enyimba striker Mfon Udoh and Emem Eduok of Dolphins have equaled the 20-goal all-time record set by Jude Aneke three seasons ago.
Enyimba hit man Udoh scored a brace to earn Enyimba a 2-1 win over Nembe City, while Emem Eduok scored a consolation goal for Dolphins in a 3-1 loss at Bayelsa United.
Mfon Udoh told newsmen that he is fulfilled to achieve his personal target of 20 goal, and now he will aim higher.
“I am very happy to have scored 20 goals which was my target when the season was to start,” he said.
“Now that I have reached that mark, I am going higher to set new goal-scoring record.
“I must thank and commend my team mates who made this possible for me because without them, the goals wouldn’t have come.”
There are now two rounds of matches to the end of the Nigeria league season 2013/2014.
