Enyeama Back To Eagles, October
Vincent Enyeama has
assured he will return to the Super Eagles in October after he pulled out of matches against Congo and South Africa this month.
The Lille goalkeeper withdrew for the AFCON qualifiers against Congo tomorrow and South Africa four days later so as to attend to some pressing family problems.
“I will be open to the games in October. It’s my pleasure to represent for Nigeria and so I won’t say no to Nigeria,” said Enyeama, who had earlier said he would reconsider his international future after the World Cup in Brazil.
Nigeria will face Sudan home and away in October
Enyeama, who has been one of the country’s long-serving internationals, further said he was happy Stephen Keshi will continue as Eagles coach.
“This helps for continuity and unity. I’m so thrilled he is back on board. Nigerians should support the team. We want to defend our title in Morocco,” he said.
“I therefore wish them the very best against Congo on Saturday. I hope it will an easy game, they will not struggle and we will win well.”
