Coach Supports Presence Of Eagles Wives At World Cup
A football Coach with
the National Institute for Sports, Lawrence Ndaks, has said that the presence of the wives of Super Eagles players during the World Cup would not be disruptive.
Ndaks newsmen in Lagos that their presence could go a long way to boost the players psychologically for the global football tournament.
“The presence of some of their wives there could be a kind of motivation to the players to even be at their best.
“I don’t even see it as a distraction because it’s just psychology.
“The presence of their wives there could even be a very big encouragement to them, because some of the wives know their husbands are there to achieve a particular goal.
“So they will continue to encourage them by advising them. Let’s just forget about what people are thinking could be a distraction.’’
Ndaks, however, cautioned Coach Stephen Keshi not to be distracted in the buildup to the quadrennial football fiesta.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup would hold from June 12 to July 13, in all the centres across Brazil.
Nigeria is in group F, alongside Argentina, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Iran.
