Brazil 2014: NFF, Wakanow.Com Partner On Travel Tour
The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) has selected wakanow.com as its official travel tour and partner for the forthcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
A statement from the association’s Assistant Director of Media, Ademola Olajire in Abuja, said that wakanow.com was officially licensed to handle all the logistics for the World Cup.
Nigeria is one of the 32 countries that would participate in the global football fiesta from June 12 to July 13 in Brazil.
“Wakanow.com will be able to do this for anyone or group only on confirmation of match tickets purchased from the NFA/FIFA PAMAS platform.
“The list of persons or organisations who have confirmed match tickets will be sent to wakanow.com for purchase travel packages,” the statement read.
It added that match tickets’ confirmation from FIFA as well as travel documents is prerequisite for visa procurement from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Brazil in Nigeria.
In the statement, NFA’s Director of Marketing, Idris Adama, said that the football house was convinced about its capacity to do a great job.
“This is a huge project and only an outfit with their capacity, high competence and track record of service delivery can cope well enough,” Adama said.
The company’s Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Products, Mrs Stella Obinwa, also said that the outfit would live up to the expectations of its partner.
“We are elated as a company to have this opportunity to serve Nigerians willing to travel to Brazil for the World Cup. Our ability to deliver is not in question.
“As a company, we will put in place everything in place to ensure that Nigerians who travel to Brazil for the FIFA World Cup come back with a memorable experience,’’Obinwa said.
NAN reports that Nigeria has been drawn in Group F alongside Argentina, Bosnia Herzegovina and Iran.
