Coach Tasks Athletes On Discipline, Hardwork

Traditional Sports (Abula) prepares for the forthcoming “South-South Open Traditional Sports Championship”, to be hosted in Port Harcourt next month, Chief Coach of the association, Paul Asaah has charged athletes to be focused and disciplined in order to win the tournament.
Asaah who gave the charge in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt recently stated that this edition would be the first of the competition, saying that athletes are expected to win the fifth as to make the tournament remarkable in the state.
He said that the athletes have all it takes to win the championship because they have worked hard enough to lift the championship.
“My athletes have proved themselves in times past and in various competitions such as the National Sports Festival. I can assure you that this would not be an exception, as they are determined to win”, he said.
He noted that the championship would also be used to discover new talents and groom them ahead of the 19th National Sports festival scheduled to hold in Calabar, Cross Rivers State next year.
Meanwhile, the competition is open for states within the Niger Delta region which includes Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo and Cross Rivers State.
It will be recalled that the River State Abula won all medals as take for the sport in the 17th and 18th NFF held in Port Harcourt and Lagos State respectively.
