HOS Cup: Info, Sports Minister Tango . …As Competition Enters ¼ Final
The ongoing 5th edition of Rivers State Civil Service football competition, HOS Cup, enters the quarter final stage today with three matches billed for the Sharks FC stadium this afternoon.
The first game of the day pitches former winners, Ministry of Special Duties, who have been having a relatively easy ride against an ambitious Civil Service Commission team.
Both sides have had smooth sails in the competition up to this stage and are expected to break some sweat today.
Next to come is the mouth watering tie between the most successful team in the competition history, the Mighty Sparrows of Ministry of Information and Communication and their Sports counterparts.
A hint of vengeance may be in the air as Information would want to avenge the narrow 0-1 loss to Sports at the semi final stage of last year’s edition.
The two sides look evenly poised but the more hungrier of the two may progress at the expense of the other.
To draw curtains on the day’s matches will be ministries of the Health and Justice, two teams that won their second round matches yesterday and must return to the pitch to seek a semi final ticket today.
