The former deputy governor who praised the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Council chairman, Hon Maclean Uranta for his developmental strides so far advised him to use the resources at his, disposal to better the lives of the people.
According to him, the stakeholders meeting would help to strengthen and add credibility to his administration and commended him for convening the meeting.
Earlier, the council chairman, Hon Uranta had reiterated his administration’s resolve to continue with programmes that would impact on the people of the area.
He noted that about 95 per cent of the decisions reached in the July 2012 meeting had been implemented, pointing out that the council had engaged ad hoc teachers to assist in the teaching of critical subjects such as the sciences, English Language and Mathematics in secondary schools in the area.
The council boss said that his administration with the cooperation of the security agencies had put in place adequate security measure to safeguard life and property in the area, adding that the council would soon award contracts for the construction of modern toilets for communities in the local government to phase out pier latrine system.
