Surveying: Expert Explores Fresh Culture On Surveying
An estate surveyor and valuer in Port Harcourt, Utchay Okorji, has said that his quest to inject fresh ideas into estate surveying, in line with the operations of the profession, has propelled him to the culture of using Google Earth Map attachment on Valuation reports, so as to boost operations.
Furthermore, to build on existing base of fresh culture, his outfit has selected young, energetic and intelligent staff, and has also introduced the use of GPS system in its report, Mr Okorji stated.
Making this known in his presentation to members of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) during the visit of the National Executive Council of the body to Port Harcourt, recently, Mr Okorji who is the Principal Partner of Utchay Okorji Associates explained that the use of the Google Earth Map attachment has made valuation which is the core area of Estate Surveying Operation, better and colourfully presented.
Utchay however urged members of the professional body to look beyond the present level of operations and adopt modern methods that could bring revolution in the real estate practice, and vowed to continue to build on the confidence of his people.
