Ahead 18th NSF: Coach Urges Rivers Power Lifters To Sustain Form

Team Rivers Power Lifters have been urged to sustain their
outstanding per formance at the recently concluded trials with their Lagos
State counterparts held at University of Port Harcourt, Choba.

Rivers State Power Lifting Coach, Adolphus Ordu gave the
charge in an exclusive chat with Tidesports at the Alfred Diette Spiff Sports
Complex, Moscow Road, over the weekend.

According to him, the athletes should continue the good work
exhibited at the trial as to further improve on their standard in order to
compete favourably when the 18th National sports festival gets underway.

Ordu, commended the athletes and advised them to be focused
and work towards sustaining the spirit as to excel in their chosen career.

“The lifters have showed commitment and readiness to
confront the task ahead by their impressive performance at the trials. They
have given hope for better performance at the forth coming National Sports
Fiesta in Lagos,” he said.

Ordu however, assured Rivers people that Team Rivers
Powerlifters would do the State proud at the fiesta scheduled for November,
this year.

He promised to do his utmost best to achieve the desired
result for the State.
