Commission Boss Confident Of Civil Servants Efficiency
The Rivers State Civil Service Commission, says civil servants in the state have the potentials of excelling in their various levels of productivities, if given the needed encouragement.
Chairman of the commission, Mr. Ngo Martyns Yellowe who said this during Media Interactive Forum last Thursday in Port Harcourt, however noted that, the commission aims at ensuring that civil servants give their best to the service.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Civil Service Commission has concluded arrangements for the hosting of the 41st annual conference of civil service commissions of the Federation.
Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Mr. Ngo Martyns Yellowe who said this during a press briefing in Port Harcourt said that, the conference which has the theme; “The Transformation Agenda And the Nigerian Public Service” would provide opportunity for interaction among chairmen of the various civil service commissions in the country with the view to moving the service foreword.
According to him, the opening ceremony of the conference which holds on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 will have President Goodluck Jonathan as special guest of honour, while the State Governor, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi will be the chief host.
He said that, the conference will also feature the induction of the newly appointed chairman and members of the Federal civil service commission.
Also speaking, the permanent secretary Rivers State Civil Service Commission, Mr. Eddy Oloko said that 500 delegates are expected to attend the conference which lasts for four days.
He also said that the conference will look at the possibility of redressing the mistakes of the past as far as the service is concern.
