Stakeholders Applaud Business Climate In Nigeria
Some participants at the ongoing Water Africa and West Africa Building and Construction Exhibition in Abuja have applauded the business climate in Nigeria.
Speaking in separate interviews with newsmen last week describe the Nigeria’s climate as favourable.
The three-day exhibition was organised by the Federal Ministry of Water Resources in conjunction the Ministries of Works and Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
The exhibition was aimed at showcasing equipment, materials and services in the construction industry.
The participants said that they had witnessed high patronage by customers at the exhibition.
Mr Marcus Rajesh, the Manager Sales, Somtex Nigeria Limited, said that Nigeria was supportive in business, adding that his organisation had preference for doing business in the Nigeria than any other country.
According to him, Nigeria is a perfect platform to invest in and that is why the companies are using the opportunity, provided by the exhibition to unveil their products for the people.
“Prominent individuals and lawmakers have been patronising us. We do not always sell in quantity, it is by contract.
“After they finish accessing our products then we will supply them the goods.
“The major challenges we have here is finding the right partners, because there are lots of people who want to partner with me but I do not need them because all they want is how to make quick money,” Rajesh said.
Mr Habeeb Abdulwahab, the Director of Sales and Marketing, Extra Co Fibre Glass and Prefab Houses was also elated by the massive turnout of customers at the exhibition.
The exhibitor, who is from Dubai, said, “the exhibition has been successful, I can tell you that I prefer this year’s to last year’s because there are more sales.”
“I have been to so many countries, but Nigeria still remains one of the best in business and that is why I do not like to miss the exhibition, he said.
Mr Kevin Jiang, the Vice President, Zhejiang Jialong Deoration Materials, commended the security arrangement at the exhibition centre.
The Chinese national described Nigeria as an investment haven in business, noting that this had lured the participants to participate in the exhibition.
Miss Ezinne Nnabuko, a customer said that the participants sold at subsidised prices.
She, however, described the discounts offer on goods as not satisfactory to customers as the products were still costly.
Nnabuko added that
