Rivers Angels Eye Super League Trophy
Rivers State women football team, Rivers Angels, says they are still prepared to play the 2009/2010 super 6 games.
Coach Whyle Ogbonda made this known Tuesday, during an exclusive interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
“Despite the recent crisis in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) which has affected the tournament (Super-6), I want to assure our fans that there is no going back on our target”, he said.
According to him, the team is in their best form this season and look good to redeem its pledge of winning the league title and the Super-6 trophy this soccer season.
It would be recalled that the recent crisis in the NFF, affected the commencement date for the super-6 games, which was earlier billed to hold second this month in Abuja.
Meanwhile, the new date for the tournament has not been made known to participating states.
The state, female soccer team, Rivers Angels won the 2009/2010 season’s league title.
