An Akwa- Ibom-based cleric, AkeminiAbasi Abraham has called on Governor Godswlll Akpabio to first seek God’s approval before running in the 2011 election.
Abraham said he gave the advice against the backdrop of massive endorsement of Akpabio to run in the gubernatonal election in 2011.
Abraham who gave the advice on Friday in Uyo in an interview with the newsmen said: “please be careful. Seek God’s face before you contest”.
He said that God brought out Akpabio for specific assignments in 2007, adding that developments in the state in the last three years were also an act of God.
Abraham urged the governor to listen to God before he accepts the offer of a second term. “God wants to use Akwa Ibom to bless the world, the leadership of the state must obey the creator.. The first law in Heaven is obedience, God is not a democrat,” Abraham said.
The cleric, who further advised the governor to be careful, said that God had shown him a picture of how Akpabio lifted up the hands of his successor.
