Yoruba Community Laud Amaechi
The Yoruba Community in Rivers State has lauded Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi over his developmental efforts within his two years in office.
A statement signed by the President, Chief Olawale Solagbade and the Secretary General, Hon. Wole Aguniade said his monumental achievements speak volumes of good governance and enjoined him to keep the flag flying.
According to the statement, his co-operation and assistance to the organisation had left an indelible mark on the sands of time, adding that they would also maintain the cordial peaceful relationship and co-existence with the government and people of the state.
The statement further said that his style of governance has resulted to the rapid infrastructural development of the state, stressing that his doggedness in piloting the affairs of the state had turned around the city in all facets and also congratulated him on his remarkable achievements within his two years in office.
The organisation also thanked the governor for his maximum support during the recent Yoruba Week 2009, and especially for hosting the quest speaker, Otumba Gbenga Daniel, the Governor of Ogun State and his entourage, which also shows his love for non-indigenes, describing him as non-tribalistic.
It will be recalled that Governor Amaechi was during the weeklong celebration honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Yoruba Community in Rivers State.
