Monarch Tasks Youths On Peace …Hails Fubara, Odu’s Election

The Paramount Ruler of Ugbobi Kingdom, in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze Anderson Okpara Egbuluka, has called on youths in the kingdom to eschew violence and work towards the peace and development of the kingdom.
Eze Egbuluka said this while addressing a cross section of indigenes of the kingdom who marched to his palace at Odieke to show support for the Governor-elect of Rivers State, Sir Siminalaye Fubara, and his Deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu.
The King also described the victory of Sir Fubara and Professor Odu as an act of God.
According to him, this is the time for youths in the kingdom to avoid acts that will not only bring disrepute to their families, but the kingdom and the entire state.
Egbuluka, who also spoke on the just-concluded governorship election in the state, called on Rivers people, including candidates of other political parties, to see the victories of the Governor-elect and his Deputy as an act of God, and work with them to move the state forward.
He said time has come for Rivers people, including those in the opposition, to rally round Sim in order for them to continue with the progressive government of Governor Nyesom Wike.
According to him, rather than challenge the victories of all those elected in the state in court, it beholves all to join sir Fubara and Professor Odu to move the state forward.
He said he was pleased with the peaceful election in Ugbobi Kingdom, noting that the outcome of the election was a reflection of the wishes of Rivers people.
The Ugbobi monarch used the occasion to congratulate Sir Fubara and Prof. Odu on their victories in the just-concluded gubernatorial and State House of Assembly election held on Saturday,18th March, 2023.
He also congratulated Engr Victor Obuzor for winning the Ogba Egbema/Ndoni, Ahoada West Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Edison Ehie, for his victory at the poll, and the member-elect for the Rivers State House of Assembly representating Ahoada West, Sokari Good Boy Sokari and others for their victories at the poll.
The Ugbobi Monarch, who advised the Governor-elect to toe the line of Governor Wike’s unequalled developmental feat in the state, also expressed optimism in his ability to consolidate on the achievement of the New Rivers Vision of Governor Wike, adding that as a renowned technocrat, Sir Fubara possesses the administrative and political experience to deliver on his electioneering campaign promises.
The monarch commended the people of Ugbobi Kingdom for conducting themselves in a very peaceful manner during and after the election.
While pledging the loyalty of the kingdom to the administration, he prayed God to grant the Governor-elect good health and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
