2023: Assembly Candidate Promises Effective Representation

A House of Assembly candidate for Andoni Constituency under the Accord Party, Dr.Mobene Luke Eneneri, has said the people of his constituency will form part of his cardinal consideration if elected as a lawmaker into the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Speaking to journalists shortly after being presented with the ticket to fly the party’s flag, Dr. Eneneri said, though he is not too ambitious about power because it comes from God, he has to obey the voice of his people.
According to him, the 2023 election will not about a particular party, but about the choice of the people.
“The good people of Andoni Local Government Area have spoken in one voice, saying they are sick and tired of the so-called big political parties. Therefore, I have no choice than to heed to their calls”, he said.
Eneneri explained that since the people of the grass root have said “yes, that I should represent them, I know now that it’s not about my decision, but the decision of my people”.
He expressed regret that over the years Andoni Community has been left backward “without any dividend of democracy.
“Therefore, as a youth, I have decided to bring myself up to close the wide gap in order to bring home the dividends of democracy to the good people of Andoni”, he stated.
He reiterated that outside lawmaking, whatever decisions that will be taken would be about the people of Andoni and not the other way round, adding that “it is about a grass root project and not about me, but about the people”.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
