LG Boss Promises Improved Collaboration With Workers
As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark the International Worker’s Day celebration, the Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Council, Sir Allwell Ihunda, has commended workers for the support given him to achieve success in the local government area.
Ihunda in a statement yesterday, promised a greater collaboration between the Executive and workers for the growth and development of the local government area and the state at large.
The statement signed by the media aide, Bob Aboyemi, Ihunda urged the workers to continue to support his administration as he has prioritised their welfare.
He described the council workers as the engine room of the council and assured to renew the commitment of his administration to their welfare even in the face of the present economic challenges.
Ihunda enjoined workers of the council to give their best to the service of the local government area, assuring that the present tempo of prompt payment of salaries on monthly basis will be sustained throughout the lifespan of his administration.
