Group Tasks Udom On Completion Of Projects

A socio-cultural group in the Niger Delta, the Akwa Ibom Indigenous People Network (AIIPN) has called on the incumbent governor of the State, Governor Udom Emmanuel, to ensure all projects embarked by his administration are completed before he leaves office.
The group in a press briefing in Port Harcourt said the timely completion of the industrialisation programmes embarked by his administration will be ideal if completed before he leaves office; given the immense benefit it will bring to the good people of Akwa Ibom State.
They said though the country is facing great challenges at this point of our history, the youth must focus on things that will not drag the names of their families in the mud, while hoping that with God on our side, the mounting challenges confronting the nation will be surpassed and addressed.
“There is no denying the fact that our country is going through lots of challenges, but we must not allow ourselves to be used by some politicians against the interest of our families.
“We must continue to remain in love and be our brothers’ keepers,” the group said.
National coordinator of the organisation, Apostle John Amaowoh, said the situation will give the in-coming administration new areas of focus, adding that this will foster rapid industrialisation of the State.
Also speaking, the National Chairman of the group Comr. Owo Udoh, told reporters that (AIIPN), is a Socio-cultural Organisation that seeks to unite every Akwa Ibomite across board for peace, progress and speedy development of the State.
He added that the group was also targeting a common process where every indigene of the State will have a common voice on things that affect our people irrespective of political affiliations.
Udoh however acknowledged President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts and wisdom in handling the numerous challenges confronting the nation, even as the union, urged him to put more energy in solving the mounting challenges and corruption that have turned the nation upside down.
