Deputy Chairman Tasks Nigerians On Humility, Selfless Services
The Vice Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area in Rivers State, Hon. Angela A. Oju-Kienmie, has said that humility, selfless services and love for humanity are panacea to progress.
She urged Nigerians to always exhibit those virtues to enable them reach the pinnacle of their endeavour and attributed the honorary doctorate degree awarded to her hard work, selfless services and love for humanity.
Hon. Oju-Kienmie made the assertion, shortly after the Institute of Superior De Communication Et De Gestion, (ISCG) University, Republic of Benin, Cotonou, awarded her an honorary Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Humantarian Studies, saying that she dedicated the award to God, her family and all amazing souls who stood by her in her time of wilderness.
According to her, the honour will spur her to do more programmes that will have direct and positive impact on humans in the society.
“For me, this is a great honour done me. I give all the glory to God and dedicate this award to Him first, my family and to all amazing souls who stood by me throughout my wilderness experience. I dedicate it to them as well” Oju-kienmie said.
Earlier, the Chancellor and founder of the university, Dr. Patrick Adjamonsi, said the award was sequel to her inspiring contributions to humantarian services and societal deveploment.
He further urged her to re-double her efforts towards higher accomplishments.
Oju-Kienmie, is an indigene of Ottoni Community, in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, from a humble background and God- fearing, with a heart of gold.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
