Infrastructure: Ex-Perm Sec, Dep Leader Rate Wike High
Former Permanent Secretary in Rivers State, Sir Mike Elechi and other stakeholders in Ikwerre Local Government Area has rated the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike high on infrastructural development.
They said that during the flag-off construction of the Aluu/Omagwa link road by the Governor, the present administration has set unpr-esedented record that will be difficult to beat by incoming administrations in the State.
According to Elechi, “it is unheard of seeing a Governor working as if it is first tenure.”
“In the annals of Rivers State, no Governor has been able to match Chief Wike in terms of physical infrastructural development, it is as if he is contesting another election”.
The former permanent secretary, who is the Managing Director of Vintage Farm also rated the governor high in human capacity development. “Having followed Rivers politics, it is uncommon seeing a Governor execute quality projects as if he is running for another election in the State”
He said, leaders like Wike should be given a higher responsibility at the national level, “As far as I am concerned, no Governor in the past has done better than what we have seen.
Also speaking, Chief Security of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hon Dickson Mgbu-mahum, said the people of Ikwerre and by extension, the whole of Rivers State are pleased with the administration of Governor Wike, “The people are pleased with the oriented projects of the Governor, especially the Aluu/Omagwa link road out will improve the economy of the area”.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
