Wike’s Dev Record Unbeatable -PDP Stalwart
A Stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyigbo Local Government Area, Pastor Joe Dappa says the leadership of Governor Nyesom Wike in the governance of the state remained unbeatable by successive administrations.
Addressing journalists recently in Okoloma-Afam, shortly after declaring his intention to contest the number one seat of the area, Dappa said Wike tackled with precision, the development challenges and security of lives and property to the point where after leaving office in 2023, no other government would match the record.
The aspirant said the towering achievements of Chief Wike in the governance of the state in the past years of this dispensation had continued to serve as a yardstick to measure political and democratic performance in Nigeria.
He urged Nigerians to cherish the values of the nation, so that the labours of her heroes both past and present shall not be in vain, noting that corruption, poor management structure, decaying infrastructure, bomb blasts, insurgencies and other vices would not move the country forward.
The former Assistant Secretary of PDP in Oyigbo LGA also described Governor Wike as leader par excellence, a role model, an all-rounder who towered where others failed to tread, and thanked Rivers people for giving the governor their unflinching loyalty and support in his tenure.
Dappa said the state governor had harnessed the human potentials available to constitute the best state executive council members to partner him produce the desired results since 2015 to date, which he said posterity would continue to remember.
He commended the governor for his development programmes which include the resuscitation of the state’s ailing economy, construction and re-construction of roads in all the rural and urban areas, urban renewal, building of flyovers, refurbishment of decayed infrastructure, the provision of water and power in the state and prompt payment of workers’ salaries.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
