Clan Warns Against Impersonation Of Royal Stool

The Oropotoma Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, has condemned the frequent impersonation of the Paramount Ruler and Nyenwe Eli Oropotoma Kingdom by a certain Eze in one of the communities.
The Oropotoma Council reminded the public that the only authentic and genuine King of Oropotoma and Paramount
Ruler is Eze Nyema Onunwo.
A statement signed by the Palace Press Secretary, Chimaobi Ogwutum, warned that the continuous usage of the title of Nyenwe Eli Oropotoma by some persons made it absolutely clear that such person is impersonating.
According to the statement, any person parading himself with the title of Nyenwe Eli Oropotoma is an impersonator, merely deluding himself and his co-travellers.
The statement warned that the council of chiefs would not condone such negative acts anymore, adding that the council made reference to the 2020 Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council Almanac in which the same Community Eze was erroneously addressed as “ Nyenwe Eli Oropotoma” instead of Nyenwe Eli Ezeolu of Rumuezeolu Community which is what is contained in his certificate of recognition issued to him by the Rivers State Government.
The Oropotoma Council of Traditional Rulers explained that the error had been corrected by the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers through a letter dated 25th February, 2020 and also their corrigendum published in some national dailes, after a complaint was raised to that effect.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
