Obuah’s Support Excites Church

The Christ Army Church of Nigeria (CACN) has showered encomiums on the Rivers State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bro. Felix Obuah following his financial and material support to the church in support of the 2017 Week-long Pentecost Prayer and Fasting programme. The programme was held at St. Luke’s Christ Army Church of Nigeria, Kono Town, Ken Khana North District, Bori Diocese in Khana Local Government Area of the State last Sunday.
In his words of commendation, the Archbishop of the Christ Army Church of Nigeria, Most Reverend Abel Vurasi, described Bro. Obuah as a passionate lover of the church whose benevolence transcended religious denominations.
The archbishop said the church would eternally remain grateful to the State PDP Chairman whom he said had always risen to the occasion whenever the church beckoned on him.
Archbishop Vurasi extolled the virtue of self-sacrifice which he noted, was ingrained in Bro. Obuah and urged leaders, especially the political class to emulate him.
“Bro. Obuah, through his antecedents has left no one in doubt that he is a practical Christian and philanthropist who believes that the secret to receiving God’s abundant blessings comes by giving to mankind”, said the Archbishop who prayed for divine replenishment of all that Bro. Obuah gave to support the church.
In his speech, the Bishop of Bori Diocese of Christ Army Church of Nigeria, Rt. Rev. Macjob Mkparo lauded the contributions of the State PDP Chairman to the growth of CACN in particular and the church in general, stressing that these gestures would not be measured in fiscal terms.
He described Obuah as a large hearted and God-fearing leader whose kindness had benefitted people across religious, social and political lines.
The Bori Diocesan b ishop also charged the church not to cease in praying for God’s continual blessings for the PDP Chairman, Bro. Obuah who is also the Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA).

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
