Wike’s Govt Has Executed More Road Projects Than Others – Commissioner

The Rivers State Commissioner for Works, Hon Bathuel Iheanyichukwu Harrison, has stated that the present government under Governor Nyesom Wike has constructed more road networks than previous governments.
This, he said, can easily be verified, considering the fact that commuters can now easily access various routes with relatively less traffic jam.
Hon. Harrison, who stated this recently, when the House Committee on Works of the State House of Assembly visited the ministry as part of its oversight functions, noted that the Wike led administration has done much in road construction and maintenance.
“Governor Wike’s administration has really worked on some major link roads for easy accessibility which include the Professor Tam David-West Boulevard Road, linking the East-West Road to the International Airport”, he said.
Conducting the committee round some of the project sites, he said “commuters can now access the airport through various routes without going through the Rumuokoro axis as it was in the past”.
Harrison assured that the ministry was committed in ensuring that proper supervision is carried out to ensure quality service delivery.
Sites visited include: Nkpogu Bridge, Phase 2, Street/Road connecting Danjuma and Prof Okujagu Road in Trans-Amadi”, and Woji/Akpajo Bridge.
Others are Oil Mill/Elelenwo/Akpajo Road, Sakpenwa-Bori-Kono Road, Kpopie/Bodo Road, Igbo Etche Road and Chokocho/Umuechem Ozuzu Road.
