The 2016 ECK African Seminar hosted by Eckankar Nigeria, has ended in Port Harcourt.
The annual event which, had about 8,000 attendees from over 15 countries worldwide, provided ECkists and Non-ECkists an opportunity to learn the principles of Divine Spirit and share the love of God.
The seminar with the theme: “How to find God’s Love In Your Life”, had Shelley Hyndman, the Regional Eck Spiritual Aide (RESA) for the province of Ontario, Canada as the guest speaker.
The event which lasted for four days featured visits to media houses, live media interviews, a public workshop entitled: “The Eye of the Tiger: Spiritual Survival for a Changing World”, creative arts, workshops and roundtables.

Addressing attendees during her theme talk: “How to Find God’s Love in Your Life,” Shelley Hyndman shared personal life-changing and spiritually-uplifting stories to give insights on how to discover and apply God’s love in our lives, and to live a more fruitful and spiritually guided life.
She said God’s love is with us every moment and never stops even when we make horrible mistakes, and there is no need to look any further or feel terrible, but to humbly accept it within our hearts, and move on.
She noted that delays and indecisions were great hindrances to the spiritual student and should be avoided through constant practice of the spiritual exercises of Eck.
In his presentation titled “The Joy of Having the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master as a Spiritual Guide, Ifeatu Areh, RESA, leader of Eckankar in Nigeria, shared stories of how the Mahanta the Living Eck Master, Sir Harold Klemp, as a spiritual guide, saved him from several challenging situations and helped him to succeed at every turn against all odds.
He called on seminar attendees to always rely on the Mahanta and practise singing the Holy and Sacred Name of God, HU, and other spiritual principles of Eckankar at all times, to help them have divine guidance, protection, and find God’s love in their lives.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
